Looking for a standout dish? You must try the lamb Kafka, a popular recommendation that truly delivers on flavor. Customer Johnny O describes it as “flavorful, funky, friendly, and fantastic,” highlighting its excellence across the board. Vegetarians and vegans will be pleased to find the falafel platter—a dish that Rav raves about for its crispiness and flavor profile, complemented perfectly by freshly made mint tea.
The hummus at Jericho is legendary, as noted by Julia Wang, who claims it to be the creamiest she’s ever tasted. It's not just a spread; it’s a love letter from the chef and an essential part of the dining experience. And, as Louis Cormier notes, the presentation matches the taste, making each dish a feast for the eyes as well. The visually stunning decor, filled with handmade artwork, adds an extra layer of charm that engages diners’ senses, creating a truly delightful atmosphere.
Jericho has perfected the art of creating a warm ambiance where guests can enjoy great food in a beautiful setting. “ Flavourful, funky, friendly and fantastic on all accounts. A real gem of a restaurant with a great vibe and owner who makes your experience special. Had the lamb Kafka as suggested and it was excellent. Highly recommended ”
“ Amazing and delicious!! I ordered the chicken shawarma on hummus - the hummus was the creamiest I’ve ever had, and the chicken was good too. Bonus points for the presentation! My partner ordered the falafel which he found delicious, it was super crispy on the outside and flavorful. The service was stellar and we loved the decor as well. When asked about how they make the hummus so well, the chef replied with love. We’ll definitely be coming back if we’re ever in Ottawa again! ”
“ Beautiful hidden gem in glebe and lansdown area. This Middle Eastern restaurant has authentic freshly made food. We ordered vegetarian vegan falafel platter and mint tea. Staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is surrounded by beautiful handmade art work by the owner. Highly recommend this restaurant. ”
“ The decor here is incredible!! The owner was super nice, we were very thankful he was open on New Years day. The food was amazing, the flavours are on point and the best I've had. The hummus was incredible. The only thing I can really fault is I felt like the menu wasn't clear enough so I found myself referring to reviews on here to see what the plates really looked like. Anyways, I'll be back and would recommend Jericho to anyone! ”
“ A hidden gem in the Glebe! The food was absolutely delicious. Incredible decor too, great atmosphere. Service was warm and friendly - we instantly felt like family! Cannot wait to return! ”
“ Always great food, fresh, spiced just perfectly! And very warm and neat atmosphere. Thanks for the amazing Middle Eastern experience and hospitality :) ”
“ Super tasty food in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Totally amazing, I’d be back all the time if I lived here! Thanks for a great dinner! ”
“ One of the most unique restos in the city, and growingly our favourite! Beautiful atmosphere and decor, amazing food, fantastic owner. If you go on a weekday, it is a one-man show but food & service still come at very reasonable pace. Be patient, the food is worth it - and you can enjoy the art (also made by the owner himself) while you wait! ”
